Hey friends,

I did this image for a forthcoming french artbook named "l'univers des Dragons" - Daniel Maghen editions.

I also recenty did a tutorial about this piece in the January issue of ImagineFX. it's mostly Photoshop and Painter with a few tweaks in ZBrush.

Hi friends,

first off happy 2008 everyone.

This piece is the cover for ImagineFX magazine #26 (jan08). I painted a Magic:The Gathering character named Oriss because this is a special playing cards issue. I have a nice interview in this issue and I also did a tutorial for another pic that I will post here very soon.

Hey gang,
This illo is taken from a french little book edited by Soleil and named "les F�es" (the Faeries).
I was supposed to portray a character that would embody the spirit of one particular season and I chose Autumn. I wanted her to be as romantic as possible with a hint of celtic. But I tried to avoid the faerie clich� (you know the kind of naked girlie with a pair of stupid butterly wings). That 's why I decided she would be laying there drunk among the tombs, with the cup of life in her hands that she drank to the end...

this illustration is for Wizards of the Coast cardgame "Magic: the Gathering". For those who know the game it's been used as a Future Sight fatpack mural.
The image depicts the fight between the anti-hero Korlash and the demon Tombstalker.

the original image size is a good 18.5/12 inches and it took a little week form the first sketch to the finishing piece.

well, it's all in the title. It's the cover of InQuest Gamer magazine n�137.
I've been comissioned by Wizkids to do this image. It pictures the Vixen, a character taken from their miniature game Horrorclix. It was fun to do even though it was heavily art directed.

hey friends,

This illustration is the first of a series I'm currently doing for SEAT, a car company here in Europe.
It shows the SEAT Leon competing in the hell of the World Touring Car Championship (WTCC).
I'm working with an advertising company very closely on this series, and I've never been that art-directed, with a very pointy briefing. Actually I use to spend like two days on an illo but this one took two weeks because changes happened all the time. Now I know that working in the advertising industry takes a fair amount of patience.

this image began as an abstract, lasso tool made, black&white shape. I let my imagination decide what I was seeing in this shap (as when you see sheeps in clouds you know). So my imagination said humm! this is huge well set in an industrial city, and I begun to draw over of it. Not my regular process actually but very fun and rewarding. I made a heavy use of photo refs as you can see.

ok, the title has just nothing to do with the illo. It's the name of the George R.R Martin book this image was done for. The upper part of the pic is not very defined and I could have done a sexier sky but I didn't because there's a big pannel with the title on top of it.

still from my Hell Dorado series. 'hope people won't find it offensive or too gore. This charming person's a demon, an assassin actually. She lives in Hell so you know that's why I wanted her to be really scary. She had to look like one of those characters from Barker's Hellraiser.

Here's another illo taken from the Hell Dorado game.
Now it depicts the Crusaders after the battle. The preacher of the team is blessing a soldier and his gun while a gitana who is a kind of medic remains here with her look lost in the battlefield.

The game is about crusaders and mercenaries sailing to the conquest of the New World... Hell.

this particular image depicts a crusader being presented staked on his own sword to a dark angel by some minor demons... isn't it poetic !?

Graphic design for "Salvaged"

Actually I "only" did the graphic design on this cover. The artwork is by my talented friend Jason Felix.
This is the cover for his artbook "Salvaged: the Art of Jason Felix", but actually I did the graphic design for the entire 129 pages book. When Felix asked me to join him on this particular project I didn't know how far it would bring me nor what new areas I'd be discovering.
I'll show you more very soon but for now please pay him a visit, you won't be disappointed.
