French Illustrator, Graphic Designer, Photographer. A CG Artist mainly in Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Gothic Horror... Rossbachs work can be seen mostly in RPGs and Miniature Games. From 2000 to 2003 he was a lead designer at Rackham. He created the visual identity of the acclaimed miniature games Confrontation and RagNarok, having the pleasure to work alongside with international artists Paul Bonner, Paolo Parente and legendary Gary Chalk. Then he decides to go freelance on the US market. Influenced by his love for the gothic-punk vampires depicted by Ann Rice he sent a portfolio to White Wolf (Vampire: the Requiem) and he had a job two days later. In two years now he did illustrations and covers in 15 White Wolf books. JS now works for prestigious clients: Wizards of the Coast (Magic the Gathering, Dreamblade), White Wolf (Vampire, Mage, Werewolf, World of Darkness), Wizkids (Pirates, Horrorclix) and did a fair number of magazine covers. In France you can see his cover illustrations for editors Pocket, Fleuve Noir, Gallimard, Flammarion, Le Bélial, l'Oxymore, Pygmalion. He also collaborates every month with science for children magazine Science & Vie Junior Currently working on another Miniature game Hell Dorado edited by Asmodée. Also a character designer on the forthcoming videogame Might & Magic / Dark Messiah. JS keeps on illustrating Merlin, an ambitious 130 pages artbook about the legendary wizard. A former musician, Rossbach keeps a love for musical artists and regularly creates artworks for bands. He recently created the visual identity (CDcover art, booklets, posters, DVD) for Norwegian band Mortiis.
